Sharon Lomardo and Rachel Ligon

Anna’s EsSCENTials Bodycare began 20 years ago when Sharon Lombardo started making soap out of her home in Owenton, Kentucky as a way to combine her interests in natural remedies and art. Her hobby grew into a business and Sharon named it after her grandmother, Anna, an important and influential figure in her life. The popular soap became a staple of the Owenton community and even found a moment of fame when it was featured on the DIY Network’s show, Queen of Clean.

Anna’s EsSCENTials Bodycare is owned by mother/daughter team Rachel and Denisa. Rachel and Denisa not only strive to carry on the exact recipes created by Sharon, but also the memory of their own grandmothers. For them, carrying on the long-held traditions of soap-making while explemlifying the strength and character of their matriarchy, is the heart-and-soul of this women-led company.   Anna’s EsSCENTIALs has also expanded and is now based out of both Owenton, KY and Key West, FL. Rachel and Denisa are excited to offer unique and quality handmade soap in Key West, as well as maintain a strong presence in Kentucky.

From the beginning, Anna’s EsSCENTials has been dedicated to creating soaps and other body care that are powerful and effective, as well as all-natural and organic. Today, using the same cold-process techniques that Sharon taught them, this tradition continues.  These soaps and other body care products are safe, use only the highest quality ingredients, are unbelievably nourishing and smell amazing!   You will not find a higher quality handcrafted soap anywhere.

You can find Anna’s EsSCENTials products at farmers markets, gift shops, health food stores and festivals throughout the country. Or, you can buy online and have them shipped wherever you are!

There is something special about these handmade soaps and beauty products.  You must try them to appreciate them!

“Folks who've tried this soap will never use any other again...
